For all the asians, how was your mid-autumn festival? For me, it wasn’t quite what I expected, but it turned out to be a nice memory anyway. October is a pretty exciting month, having the mid-autumn festival that just passed, end-of-month halloween, a lot of birthdays, and for Canadians their thanksgiving is coming up too next week. With all the fun, you might want to sit down and relax a bit in between. If you do, this month’s BGM will be a perfect choice. Quite a few people had said August BGM sounded familiar, but they couldn’t recall where it’s from even after I gave them a hint that it’s from an anime. Well, it’s no surprise since the anime wasn’t exactly a very well-known one (I do recommend the show nevertheless). However, it was written by a well-known composer, Katakura Mikiya. He also wrote the soundtracks of AVENGER and Kaibutsu Ojou. The name still doesn’t ring a bell? Then how about introducing him as the composer of ALI PROJECT? I think I just saw a few “Ahhhh!” faces there. 🙂
As for this month’s BGM, since September is the beginning of the season fall, I picked it from a game (series) that is heavily related to fall. The music, of course, also closely resembles the feeling of fall season. Click “Background Music” on the right under the link section to listen to it now.
July, again, has passed in a flash. How did you like our July BGM? As I mentioned last month, the title was translated to “Beginning of Summer” — “Natsu no Hajimari”, which is the first track of SUIKA (game) Original Soundtrack, composed by Nekono Comet. Not so surprising, is it? I know quite many of you had heard it before, it was just a bit hard to recall, that’s all. 🙂 If you hadn’t, then I hope you enjoyed it.
Now, from the last week of July till mid-August, it’s the time where there’re lots of raining, lightening, and thundering in various parts of the world. Raining can be a romantic scene, but with all the thundering where you just want to stay indoor… remember when you were a kid, when you stayed at home looking at the thundering outside of the window, didn’t you feel somehow melancholic, and maybe even a little mysterious (e.g. what’s going on outside the window, is there someone suspicious hanging around, etc)? This month’s BGM is the exact fit for that. Click “Background Music” on the right under the link section to listen to it now.
P.S. Thanks to MaXim, we found out who the erhu/niko player of our April BGM is. It’s none other than JIA PENG FANG, who can be said to be the currently most famous erhu player in Japan. You can find a brief introduction about him here.
How was your June? Was it a relaxing and laid-back one like our June BGM? So July has finally come. It’s a month of many, many mixed feelings — it’s the birthday month of a lot of our subber friends, and I myself am going to get older too yet again this month, which I’m completely not ready. It’s also the month where the heat will become unbearable, considering now it’s already killing me. Therefore, this month’s BGM is a composition that reflects all those: a summer BGM with lots of mixed feelings combined. This one will be a pretty hard one to recognize, so I will give you a hint: the title is translated to “Beginning of Summer”. Now getting on IRC can’t get any easier. Simply click on IRC Channel under the “LINK” section on our main page, fill in the nickname you desire, and click “Connect”. The channel might be quiet the moment you join, but you’re welcome to start a conversation anytime. IRC chat is very different from IM, so don’t expect an immediate response. Hang around and you will eventually catch us dropping by. Look forward to see you there.
Other than a certain someone who got lots of hints and accidentally found out the May BGM, I wonder how many of you have figured out. Anyway, so the hot summer has come. Don’t you feel like laying back, appreciate the beautiful summer scenery (if there’s any around you), and just be relaxed and lazy? If you do, then this month’s summer-feel-filled BGM is perfect for you. It’s very likely you have heard it before already, but I doubt you would mind listening to it again, and again.
